The problem with this error, as you explain in your blog, is that it&#039;s very hard to find its source. Most of the time the only way is to comment everything until you find the part that produces the error.</description>

In our case it was because we didn&#039;t dispose of the stream we took of the SPFile object. Strangely it was only a problem when called from a workflow.
